I will readily admit that this blog has exactly developed as I had originally intended it. Sometimes I get carried away with good intentions and big plans that sound really good but in reality are logistic impossibilities. Exhibit A: Aaron's plan to remember France -->1) write a journal entry every night before I go to bed simply recounting the day's events, 2) create a blog and update it with at least one entry every week, 3) send postcards and letters to friends and family, 4) take loads of pictures (definitely accomplished this one), 5) and lastly stay away from any memory loss-inducing "thing" as I need to be able to recount all of my experiences upon my return home.
As you can see from this blog I have easily failed resolution #2 and while I have definitely accomplished resolutions 4 and 5 (at least for now) and partially accomplished #3, the first resolution has ended up being a big joke. But seriously folks, when its midnight and you are finishing a day comprising seven hours of class and more walking just to get to and from school than would take to get around the Whitworth campus for class during a normal school week, a bed (no matter how uncomfortable) looks like an island oasis and a journal looks more like a set of rusty shackles in the Château d'If.
So....at long last I have returned to write some new entries as to what I have been up to over here in "La France". I hope you enjoy them
